As an educator and DEI strategist, Callie Kimball enjoys successful twin careers in business and in arts education. Her achievements in both fields underscore a unique combination of creative, leadership, and analytical skills.
She founded Starnes Kimball, LLC in 2017 to create and deliver custom solutions for non-profit clients. Engagements have included creating and facilitating board retreats, as well as workshops on leadership, effective communication and conflict resolution, and DEI concepts. Her work helps people work and communicate effectively with candor and purpose.
Clients include Portland Stage, Bigelow Labs, the Anti-Defamation League, TempoArts, and the Mitchell Institute. Additionally, she’s been teaching at Bates College since 2019, with a focus on amplifying the creative expression and lived experiences of historically minoritized voices.
She completed her undergraduate degree at the College of William and Mary, and received her Masters degree from Hunter College in NYC, with continuing professional development at Harvard University.
Callie is based in Maine, and has been organizing everything within arm's reach since she was seven years old.
